By encouraging collaboration, open dialogue, and informed participation, governance ensures that diverse perspectives are considered and that our college community has a voice in decisions that impact Mesa.

Working Together At Mesa

Administration

Mesa College administration is represented in institutional governance through the President's Cabinet and Deans' Council. Administrators contribute to college decision-making through school leadership and participation on other participatory governance committees.


Classified Professionals

Mesa College Classified Professionals are represented in institutional governance through the Classified Senate and President’s Cabinet. Classified Professionals also have a voice in college decision-making through school meetings, hiring committees, and other participatory governance committees.


Faculty

Mesa College faculty is represented in institutional governance through the Academic Senate, President’s Cabinet, Chairs Committee, school meetings, and other participatory governance committees. Faculty also have a voice in academic programs, curriculum, and faculty personnel matters through the Academic Review Committee, Student Services Council, Curriculum Review Committee, Academic Affairs Committee, Academic Program Review Committee, and the faculty hiring process.


Students

Mesa College students are represented in institutional governance through the Associated Students Government, President’s Cabinet, and other participatory governance committees. The ASG President and Vice President represent the student voice on President’s Cabinet, while other students contribute to college decision-making through participation on college committees.
