Welcome
The San Diego Promise covers the cost of tuition for up to two years at San Diego City, Mesa, and Miramar colleges, and provides textbook grants of $400 per year to students who also qualify for a fee waiver (the California College Promise Grant, formerly known as the Board of Governor’s Fee Waiver).
BENEFITS

- Individualized counseling and guidance support to help you complete your educational goals
eligibility CRITERIA
- First time (to any) college student or
- Returning SDCCD student who has not enrolled in courses for three or more consecutive semesters (not including summer) or
- Identify with one of the following groups
- San Diego College of Continuing Education Students
- Foster Youth Student
- Veteran of U.S. Armed Forces
- Formerly Incarcerated Student
- Undocumented Student
- All Students must:

- Must have completed a HIgh School Diploma, or , GED, or, High School Equivalency
- Must be a California resident or AB 540 eligible
- Must Complete a 2023 -2024 financial aid application (Free Application for Federal Student Aid - FAFSA or California Dream Act )
- Must be prepared to enroll in a minimum of 12 units each semester (does not apply to students with disability (DSPS) accommodation on file)
