This process will connect you with a Basic Needs Counselor. You are encouraged to submit a Basic Needs Intake application if you are experiencing economic hardship and basic needs crises that impacts your current educational success.
Our trained Basic Needs Counselors and Basic Needs Ambassadors can help by identifying and connecting you to resources such as; affordable food programs, school supplies, technology, transportation, personal care items, housing navigation support and/or emergency aids.
- This tool is used to assess individual needs and gather information prior to the student appointment with a Basic Needs Counselor.
- All support and resources provided are only meant for short-term, immediate assistance and will be based upon available funds at any time during the semester.
- Submitting this application does not automatically guarantee for all services applied for.
- Most services and/or resources are currently only available for enrolled students during the semester resources are requested for.
- Campus of record for FAFSA must be Mesa College.
- Be committed to working on an action plan with the Basic Needs Counselor.
What to expect after submitting this form
- Once The Stand receives your Basic Needs Intake application, you will be contacted to schedule an appointment with one of the Basic Needs Counselor.
- The purpose of the appointment is to become more familiar with your situation, connect you with additional resources based on your situation as well as collect information to assess for further support.
